| 'American,
all of us' comes from the attack on NY that happened a few months
before. Typically, I outline the figure and then fill with color. Here, the colored pencil is applied using varied gesture and technique. The piece explores splintered gravity to push new composition. I tried to break every rule, but in the end, the piece conformed to ordinary principles of composition. |
