As a youth, my parents said art had to be a 'real' object. I would draw imaginary scenes and want to show them, but it was futile. They depreciated my work. I mistakenly believed them and saved nothing from my youngest years. In their defense, they were struggling with their own demons.

Here I made a stand to meet my parents standard. I tried to make a real object but instinct took over. I was disappointed and intended to 'finish' the piece some day only to discover that rawness is art <> all that matters is whether the picture is memorable.
