Top, I put apples in my mom's antique pewter bowl and drew "Apples in a pewter bowl #1." She was an artist, but hated my work glaringly for some reason.
"Apples in a pewter bowl #2" came later <> I wanted to re-live sensations from drawing the first <> but a cruder feeling emerged the second time. I discovered that my art was about telling stories, and that the same story could never be told twice.
