Candle - ink pen on random-shaped paper
These candles were inspired by Rembrandt and Dali.
Both copy classic styles <> but disregard tradition by presentation on messy and torn paper that represents today's cast-off life style.
For me, oil pastels are quick and messy. Other colors stick to the crayon, so crayons have to be wiped clean. I sometimes wipe crayons by rotating them on the same paper being used for the art. The effect can be gestural and natural.
