Always critical of my own work, I made several notes on this picture which became the interesting part of the composition. When reviewing the notes 11 years later, I recalled the importance of breaking habits in order to move forward. For reasons of personality, I cannot repeat the same style for very long. Boredom and frustration eventually rule the day, and then my art ceases. Afterwards I wait until suddenly it becomes compelling to make art again. Upon resuming, the style is never the same. An art teacher once remarked of my work that it was hard to believe the same person made all the different work.
