| The 5x5 pictures below were made with oil pastel and paint stick on white cardboard. First, random bright oil pastels were applied to surface. Second, the oil pastel was covered with black paint stick. Lastly, the black paint stick was scraped using various tools revealing color below. | |

| Picture
below was done in oil pastel on paper > and then scraped in
places
with tools. To apply more colorant, I sprayed fixative over surface
> and then added more oil pastel for richer, layered look. As
per
all my work, it evolved in the moment without plan. Surface of picture is unstable since top layer of oil pastel does not adhere to fixative. Picture is stored in acrylic cover that cannot be removed without removing surface. |
